São Paulo speech: Quero and Vou querer are both common. Pra mim (= para mim) is very natural when ordering in a group.

Part 3 — Pronomes oblíquos diretos: o, a, os, as
Direct object pronouns replace the thing being acted on. In Brazilian restaurant speech, pronouns often stay clear and explicit — but you’ll hear both forms.

Part 12 — Cultural note: comida paulistana
Padaria — not just bread São Paulo padarias are all-day hubs: breakfast, marmita, coffee, salgados (savory snacks). Many open from 6h and serve full meals. Your neighborhood padaria is often the first place to practice ordering.
Feira livre Weekly street markets sell fresh produce, pastel, caldo de cana, and flowers. Haggling is less common than in some countries, but Tá fresquinho! (It’s fresh!) is standard praise.
Delivery apps iFood, Rappi, and 99Food dominate. Pedir comida is normal even when restaurants are two blocks away — especially on rainy days. Tip: learn retirada (pickup) to save delivery fees.
Rodízio Fixed price, eat all you want — famous for pizza (multiple slices of many flavors) and churrasco (meat carved at the table). Great for groups; ask Tem rodízio hoje?
