- In Lecture 17 you learned to describe objects and design. Today we add emphasis — superlatives, exclamations, and how strongly you feel about things.
Tip: Brazilians intensify constantly: muito bom, super legal, caríssimo. Mastering this makes you sound natural.
Part 1 — Superlativo absoluto em -íssimo (Grammar)
The absolute superlative adds -íssimo to the adjective stem. It means “extremely” or “the most.”
Formation rules

Note: Foi o melhor (relative superlative) vs Foi ótimo / excelentíssimo (absolute). Both work for emphasis.

In speech, boníssimo and grandíssimo are common and natural.

The stress falls on -ís-: caríssimo, rapidíssimo, interessantíssimo.

Brazilian intensifier rhythm
Super and muito are often unstressed in fast speech: É super legal → É super legal (quick super).
