Part 1 — O gerúndio (Gerund forms)
The gerund is the -ing form in English. In Brazil, it’s used actively with estar.
Regular gerund formation

Brazilians use estar + gerúndio widely: Estou indo, Tô trabalhando. In Brazil, stick with the gerund — not European estou a + infinitive.
Part 2 — Gramática: estar + gerúndio (Present continuous)

Part 3 — Gramática: ir + infinitivo (Near future)
In Brazilian Portuguese, ir + infinitivo is the default way to talk about future plans.
